Reflection on Experience at Naperville North:
When I look back at my time at Naperville North, I am filled with nostalgia and gratitude for the people I interacted with on a daily basis. From my coaches and teachers to my friends and classmates, I felt genuinely supported in so many different aspects of my life. On the soccer field, the entire coaching staff cultivated a hardworking and passionate culture that emphasized personal growth and playing for the people to your left and right. Being on varsity for four years and ultimately getting to play alongside my younger sister will forever be one of my favorite memories. Now that it has been nearly four years since I graduated from Naperville North, I have the perspective to understand just how fortunate I was to be a student there. Not only did I leave feeling academically prepared to take on the challenges of engineering in college, but I also felt socially and emotionally prepared to thrive in a completely new environment surrounded by unfamiliar people. I can say with confidence that the relationships I built and the values I learned at Naperville North continue to shape who I am today.
Impact of the RAK Scholarship:
Words cannot express how honored and grateful I am to have received this award. The opportunity to be part of such a loving and close-knit community has been truly invaluable. Although the initial process felt daunting at times, my anxieties quickly faded with each interaction I had within the RAK community. That sense of comfort only grew over time, and it became abundantly clear that it stemmed from the kindness and leadership that Rob fostered. The RAK Scholarship has taught me to believe in myself, pursue new opportunities, and appreciate the little moments in life—values that I continue to carry with me every day. One of the things I cherish most is returning to Naperville each year and reconnecting with such incredible people while watching the RAK family continue to grow. The impact of this scholarship extends far beyond financial support, and has provided me with a loving community of lifelong mentors and friends.
